Purlock
Free tool · Page change alerts

Know the moment a page changes.

Follow a competitor's pricing, a supplier's terms or your own legal pages. We read the page every day and tell you exactly which lines were added and removed.

Free, with no account needed.

What it checks

What you get from the page change alerts

  • Exactly what changed

    The lines added and removed, not just a note that something's different.

  • Less noise

    Clock times and text like "3 minutes ago" are ignored, so you only hear about real changes. Prices and numbers always count.

  • Email or webhook

    Send changes to your inbox, or into your own tools with a signed webhook.

For developers

Three lines from your own code

Every tool is also an API, with one simple answer format. Keep your key on your server.

JavaScript

const res = await fetch("https://www.purlock.com/v1/tools/page-change-alerts?target=https%3A%2F%2Fcompetitor.com%2Fpricing", {
  headers: { authorization: `Bearer ${process.env.PURLOCK_API_KEY}` },
});
const report = await res.json();

Prompt for Cursor or Lovable

Add a call to the Purlock Page change alerts API on the server side of this app. Send GET https://www.purlock.com/v1/tools/page-change-alerts?target=VALUE with the header "Authorization: Bearer" and the PURLOCK_API_KEY environment variable. The JSON answer has status ("good", "attention" or "bad"), headline, checks (each with level, title, detail, fix) and data. If the call fails or times out after 3 seconds, carry on as if it wasn't there. Never put the API key in client code.

Free plan: 100 calls a month. Individual: 5,000. Business: 25,000.

FAQ

Questions, answered

How often are pages checked?
Once a day.
Does it work on pages built with JavaScript?
Not yet. It reads the text your page sends, so a page that builds all its text in the browser looks empty. The check above tells you whether we can read it.
Does it respect robots.txt?
It identifies itself as PurlockBot, and a site can block it. Only watch pages you're allowed to read.
Is it free?
You can test any page for free. Watching pages comes with an account, and your plan sets how many.
