Questions, answered
Does Purlock change anything on my website?
Never. PurlockBot only reads public pages over plain HTTP, the way a browser would. It doesn't log in, fill in forms or run your JavaScript. You (or your AI tool) make the fixes.
How does it know which price is right?
It doesn't guess. When two pages disagree, Purlock shows you both quotes side by side and you decide. Once you confirm a value in your Fact Sheet, every page is checked against it.
Will it flag things that aren't really problems?
Sometimes, which is why every finding shows the exact quote, the reason, and a confidence level. Any AI finding whose quote isn't on your page word for word is thrown away before you see it. You can ignore anything that's intentional.
My site was built with Lovable / Bolt / Cursor. Does it work?
Yes, and it's a sweet spot. AI builders love inventing confident numbers and placeholder testimonials. Every finding comes with a prompt you can paste straight back into your AI tool.
Is this SEO?
No. Purlock doesn't rewrite your copy or chase keywords. It checks that what your site says is current, consistent and true.
What about my privacy?
Free scans only read public pages. Full results are only shown to the person who ran the scan; the share link shows the score and finding titles. We never store your IP address, only a one way hash for rate limiting.
