What it finds

What breaks on a small screen

01

Can't reach the bottom

A fixed height wrapper cuts the page off, so the footer and contact details are never seen.

Scrolling stops at the hero

02

Wider than the screen

One wide table or image makes the whole page wobble sideways.

Page is 520px on a 390px screen

03

Buttons cut off

Your main button sits half outside the screen and is hard to tap.

“Buy now” cut off at the edge

04

Covered by sticky bars

A chat bubble or sticky bar sits on top of the button that matters.

Chat bubble over “Book now”

05

Buttons on top of each other

Two buttons overlap, so a tap hits the wrong one.

“Sign in” over “Start free”

06

Widgets that didn't load

Booking, chat, map, review or video embeds that failed while the page opened.

Booking widget: empty box

Why it matters

Most of your visitors are on a phone. Most checks happen on a laptop.

Websites are built and reviewed on big screens, then visited on small ones. A layout that looks perfect on a laptop can hide your footer, cut your main button in half or put a chat bubble over your checkout, and nobody tells you. Visitors just leave.

Purlock checks the pages that make you money the way a customer sees them, and only reports what it can prove with a screenshot. Monitoring plans run the same check every week and after every deploy, so a change that breaks your mobile layout is caught the same day.

FAQ

Questions, answered

How does the mobile check work?
We open your homepage and your most important pages (pricing, sign up, booking, contact) in a real browser at 390 by 844 pixels, the size of a typical phone. Then we scroll to the end, measure every button and check that widgets loaded. Every problem comes with a screenshot.
Why can't visitors reach the bottom of my page on a phone?
Usually a wrapper with a fixed height (often 100vh) and hidden overflow. It looks fine on a laptop, but on a phone the rest of the page is cut off: your footer, your contact details, sometimes your main button. It's one of the most common bugs on sites built with AI tools.
Is this the same as Google's mobile friendly test?
No. Google's test looked at whether a page is set up for phones at all. Purlock looks for things that are actually broken for a visitor: content you can't reach, buttons you can't tap, banners covering what matters and widgets that never loaded.
Does it change anything on my site?
Never. It only reads your public pages. It doesn't click buttons, fill in forms or log in.
